Topics include: design principles; operating system security and access control; web and software security; malicious software, security infrastructure; secure email; network authentication; firewalls; intrusion detection; IP security; network attacks; wireless security.

Precludes additional credit for SYSC 4810.
Prerequisite(s): (COMP 3000 or SYSC 4001) and COMP 2108.
